How’d we get here?

When you grow up in a restaurant family its hard to nail down when you started. It’s just been as far back as I can remember.

I started my training as a host at a chain restaurant by the mall and started learning what hospitality was. I learned basic operations and structures and a met a great mentor in my general manager.

I worked at the chain restaurants for 7 years through high school a Bachelors in Finance and all the way to Michigan Ave in Chicago. Chicago is where I really started to understand the value of dining experiences and restaurants.

I staged (donated my time for the chance to learn) for 6 months 2 nights a week to get the opportunity to make almost no money at a fine dining french restaurant. My life was changed. I understood the passion and dedication that it takes to create a profitable restaurant that delivers incredible experiences to diners nightly.

I used this experience and my degree to work with the world’s largest food service organizations. Over my 14 years there I progressed through different levels and paths in the company. I opened over 15 new restaurants, I lead a team of over 300+ people, I became financial responsible for over $50 million dollars on a P&L and got to work on some of the most unique operations I could imagine.

For years now I have been working with small businesses to help them address a number of opportunities to better there restaurants and grow their businesses. I’ve helped a number of restaurants build new locations and renovate existing.

My favorite part of what I do is helping owners focus on the reasons they go into and less on the hard parts of the business.
